Characters

Amongst the tidbits is a feisty redhead named Caitlin Evanger who is on a quest to kill the guy in the black. She brings with her some dangers unseen in a neopolitan locale, but what about her is not as black and white as it seems. A sprinkling of sex and a few misadventures along the way makes for a tale of two eras. The best part is it all comes together as the story arcs to a rousing conclusion. The book is written by a pair of siblings who have inherited a sixteenth century villa. One is a famous painter, the other is a bona fide nerd who is just that. The story is a tad slow paced, but the author’s tenacious penmanship abounds. Some of the characters are in their late twenties, and some of the early thirties, but that doesn’t stop the hordes from arriving in style.

The novel elicits a few awestruck guests, but it is a few spirited exchanges between the misfits that make the trip a swell time. Not a bad place to find yourself, especially on a cool autumn night.

Setting

Whether you’re a fan of thrillers or are looking for a good read, you’ll love Verity. This psychological thriller is a dark and suspenseful read that will have you turning pages late into the night.

In the process of sorting through Verity’s notes, Lowen discovers an autobiographical manuscript written by the famed author. The manuscript reveals disturbing secrets about Verity’s life.

Lowen decides to keep the manuscript hidden. She thinks that Jeremy would be unable to continue to love Verity if he read her words. She also knows that the contents of the manuscript would break Jeremy’s heart.

While Lowen’s love for Jeremy continues to grow, she begins to question Verity’s motives. She suspects that Verity may have played a role in the deaths of her twin daughters. She’s also concerned that Verity may have been neglecting them during the day.

Despite Lowen’s doubts, Jeremy agrees to let her stay in Verity’s house. Lowen arrives with the intention of spending one or two nights. She begins to feel attracted to Verity’s husband. She’s still recovering from watching her mother die from cancer.
